Avoid placing the devices where there are large machineries are operated as the heavy vibrations will affect the leveling or the alignments, hence the lines are unsteady. To solve this problem, you need to place the device on a firm and sturdy floor. Use a tripod or a pole leveling ceiling to floor if necessary. If you do not have any tripod or pole, you can mount the rotary laser level units to the wall.
Battery Failure during Works

The solution for this problem is connecting the device with a DC power source or an external power supply. By using a laser detector, the laser beam will be visible even in bright lights. The combination of laser detector and rotary laser level enhance the effectiveness of the leveling. If the laser level device is above the head height, you can try to attach the detector at a high level to boost the results.
When the laser beam of the rotary laser level cannot reach some dead areas because of obstructions, troubleshooting rotary laser levels is a must. The leveling will be heavily affected when the laser beam fails to reach all directions. When you face such problem, try to change the direction of the rotation. It is possible to shift the direction of the laser rotation to clockwise or anticlockwise mode as needed. Check the connection and the batteries, if both of them work just fine, check the joint of the rotary laser level just in case there is any corrosion. Treat the corrosion with anti-corrosion ointments, your rotary laser device should work perfectly.
When the device is dropped and mishandled, you have to check whether the device is working properly by performing a horizontal plane calibration test. You can test it by following these steps;
- Set the rotary device at least 50 m from the wall
- Allow the laser to point the X-axis towards the wall before turning it on
- Mark the point of the beam
- Turn the rotary to 180 degree and mark the point
- Make sure that the difference between the heights of the points is not more than 10 mm
- Do the same steps for the y-axis
